This is Rayven, her personality was so sweet and I loved her awesome adventurous spirit! Basically, she was a dream to photograph and I am still dying over how absolutely beautiful all her images came out. Rayven stays busy singing in the advanced choir, hanging out with friends and when she finishes school she is planning to study interior design at ECU. I met with Rayven a few weeks ago to plan her session, she wanted her session to be around water as well as some urban shots! We talked about different locations that would suit her personality and style and eventually settled on Old Lassiter Mill Park and Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh! From there we had an outfit planning sesh, just to make sure we were ready on the day of her High School Senior Portrait session. The day of her Senior Session we met up at the Wink Hair & Makeup Studio in Raleigh, Kristi our stylist gave Rayven some big curls and a shimmering gold and purple eye and of course some big lashes to help her eyes really pop. Rayven has the most gorgeous big brown eyes and this look was truly perfect on her!

I am always coming up with new ideas to use in my shoot and I had this one in mind and it came out so much better than I could have imagined!
Seriously tho, her eye makeup was making me jelly!
One of my favorite from this location, the light was just oozing with pretty!
Effortless perfection here. Except when we both climbed up on this HUGE log. That was a pretty interesting moment.
I don’t usually do a ton of black and white type portraits but this one really came to life and I think the edit gives it so much amazing character and really made the photo come to life.
